Raised in the Hudson Valley, Hal served the Orange County Association of REALTORS as a director, president and was honored as REALTOR of the year. He also served as director, president, and a member of the executive committee of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce.
Presently he serves as a Trustee of St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital and chairman of the Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance Committee. In 2005, Hal became a member of the St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Inc. Hal is a Director & Organizer of Empire State Bank, N.A., a newly organized bank (June 2004) with branches in Newburgh and New Paltz. He serves as Corporate Secretary, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee, a member of the Loan Committee and Charitable Trust Committee. In 2004, Hal had his best year in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Racing finishing first in two championship series, the New England Road Racing Championship and the North Atlantic Road Racing Championship. He and his son, Dan have been racing since 1999 and hold SCCA National Competition licenses. In 2006, Dan and Hal finished 1st and 2nd at the LRP Run-offs in the T-1 NARRC series.

Just completed our September Rand Commercial monthly meeting with a great working presentation by Jamie Troia who is helping us roll out the NEW Rand Commercial Services social media blitz, and we had another great talk from Gordon Coyle & Daniel Rand @The Hudson Group (Insurance Agency) - what a team!
